Aug. 11, Cpl. Labaska arrested Corey D. Mitchell, age 30 of Clementon, on an outstanding traffic warrant.

Aug. 11, A Delwick Lane resident reported theft from a motor vehicle. A GPS and Ipod were stolen.

Aug. 11, Patrols heard a light post being broken at a Springfield Avenue business and responded to the area. Several juveniles were located in the area however none came forward and admitted to doing the damage.

Aug. 12, Criminal Mischief was reported to a Maple Street transit bridge.

Aug. 12, Traffic officer Bubb charged Jairo A. Rendon, age 44 of Chatham, with operating while suspended.

Aug. 12, Sgt. Ventre charged Eugene Ceasar, age 31 of Wilmington N.C. with soliciting without a permit on Glenbrook Road.

Aug. 13, Ptlm. Diamond charged Jose R. Cosme, age 21 of Plainfield, with driving while suspended.

Aug. 13, Ptlm. Sretenovic charged Massiel Rodriguez, age 28 of Orange, with being an uninsured motorist.

Aug. 13, Ptlm. Sretenovic charged Modinat T. Atanda, age 45 of Newark with being an uninsured motorists.

Aug. 14, Ptlm. Sretenovic charged Luis A. Blanco, age 48 of Kearny, with operating while suspended.

Aug. 14, The water company reported the theft of a leak sensor from a central Avenue fire hydrant. As a result of an investigation detective Drown arrested Gary Bahnck, age 39 of North Plainfield, and charged him with the theft.

Aug. 14, Ptlm. Diamond charged Michael N. Gismondi, age 43 of N.Y. with urinating in public and driving while suspended.

Aug. 15, Ptlm. Diamond charged Robin M. Thomas, age 48 of East Orange, with driving without insurance.

Aug. 15, Ptlm. Diamond charged Orit Osorio, age 27 of Jersey City, with operating while suspended.

Aug. 15, Ptlm. Diamond charged Elvis Rojas, age 34 of New Providence, with operating while unlicensed, uninsured and having a suspended registration.

Aug. 15, Ptlm. Diamond charged Elsa Maribel Vasquez-Moran, age 34 of New Providence, with allowing driving with no insurance.

Aug. 15, Patrols responded to a Springfield Avenue business on a reported disorderly juvenile yelling and cursing at an employee.

Aug. 15, Patrolman Sretenovic charged Jorge Luis Mora-Cubero, age 53 of Maryland, with driving while suspended.

Aug. 16, A resident reported an item stolen from his gym bag while playing at a soccer field.

Aug. 16, A Springfield Avenue resident reported identity theft. Several purchases were made with the residents’ credit cards.

Aug. 17, Ptlm. Parlapiano charged James Abate, age 40 of Westfield, with operating while suspended.

Aug. 18, Cpl. Sprague charged Amy O’Connor, age 27 of Berkeley Heights, with operating without insurance.

Aug. 18, A hit and run was reported in the parking lot of Zita's Ice Cream, a “dark colored shiny pickup truck” struck a car at 7:11 p.m. and fled the scene east on Springfield Avenue.
