Directions to the New Providence Municipal Center, Police Headquarters and New Providence Rescue Squad

From Route 78 Westbound:

Exit # 43. Follow exit ramp, which will place you on Diamond Hill Road. Continue on Diamond Hill Road to the end of the roadway. Name changes from Diamond Hill Road to Union Avenue after second traffic light. Continue on Union Avenue which ends at Springfield Avenue. Turn right and continue for approximately 2 miles through second traffic light (the center of New Providence). Turn left onto Academy Street. Municipal Center on right.

From Route # 78 Eastbound:

Exit # 44. Turn left at traffic light onto Glenside Avenue. Take first left hand turn which is Glenside Road (you will cross under Route 78). Stay on this road, which changes to South Street after first traffic light. Follow through the center of town and turn right onto Elkwood Avenue. Municipal Center 2 blocks on the right.

From Route # 22

In Scotch Plains look for landmarks of Snuffy's for eastbound traffic and McDonald's for westbound traffic. Follow signs for New Providence. You will be directed onto New Providence Road and then Diamond Hill Road. Stay on Diamond Hill Road to the end. The name changes to Union Avenue after third traffic light. Union Avenue ends at Springfield Avenue. Turn right and continue for approximately 2 miles through the center of New Providence. Turn left onto Academy Street. Municipal Center on right.

From Garden State Parkway South:

Exit at 142. Travel on Route 78 West. You can follow either the express or local lanes. Exit # 43. Follow exit ramp, which will place you on Diamond Hill Road. Continue on Diamond Hill Road to the end of the roadway. Name changes from Diamond Hill Road to Union Avenue after second traffic light. Union Avenue ends at Springfield Avenue. Turn right and continue for approximately 2 miles through the center of New Providence. Turn left onto Academy Street. Municipal Center on right.

From Garden State Parkway North:

Exit 141 to Route 78 East. Take first exit to make "U" turn and follow signs to Route 78 West. Travel on Route 78 West. You can follow either the express or local lanes. Exit # 43. Follow exit ramp, which will place you on Diamond Hill Road. Continue on Diamond Hill Road to the end of the roadway. Name changes from Diamond Hill Road to Union Avenue after second traffic light. Union Avenue ends at Springfield Avenue. Turn right and continue for approximately 2 miles through the center of New Providence. Turn left onto Academy Street. Municipal Center on right.
