Memorial Day Parade - Monday, May 27, 2013
Join New Providence as it celebrates Memorial Day. The parade starts at 10:00 am, but there are events throughout town. Click here for the program and line of march.
2013 Middle School Track Program
All 7th & 8th grade students that reside or go to school in New Providence are welcome to participate. Practices are on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and compete on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00PM for three weeks (May 28 - June 13). Appropriate sneakers are required. Register on CommunityPass by clicking "Online Registration" above, sign in, select "NP Recreation", and select "2013 After School Enrichment". For more information, click here for flyer.

Swimming Instructors Wanted
Seeking certified lifeguards to teach swim instruction (part-time) to children 5 years and older. Lessons are offered daily at 9:00, 10:00 & 11:10AM in 2-week sessions. For more information and how to apply, please email pkummer@newprov.org.
Municipal Tennis Courts Membership - 2013
Members of the New Providence Municipal Tennis Courts may make one-hour court reservations and get priority for court usage from 6-10PM on weekends from May 25-June 23 and daily from June 26-September 2. Attendants will be on-site during these times to oversee the courts. April 22-June 25: Lights will be on until 9PM on Mon-Thu and until 10PM on weekends; June 26-Sept 2: Lights will be on until 10PM daily. For more information, click here for flyer.

Please check League Line-up for all game and practice information. In the event of inclement weather, please call the Weather Hotline at 908-464-0600. Gameday decisions will only be made after 3pm.

Recreation Job Postings
The Recreation Department is seeking Tennis Court Attendants to oversee the Municipal Tennis Courts weekends May 25 - June 23 and daily from June 26 - September 2. The job description is accessible here. If interested, please email nprec@newprov.org.
The The Recreation Department is no longer accepting Employment Inquiries for Summer 2013. Thank you to everyone who did inquire about summer employment. Final Employment decisions will be made by May 1, 2013.
Spring Youth and Adult Classes
Spring Youth Classes have begun! Classes are open to Borough residents and children who attend school in New Providence. Non-residents may register as well, space permitting, for an additional $10 fee per class.

NP Recreation Introduces Background Check Policy for Volunteer Coaches
NP Recreation coaches, assistant coaches and parent helpers are required to complete a Background Check. This program is mandatory and free of cost to volunteers.
